Professional Development
If you currently work in Early Years, Childminding or Playwork in Rotherham, you may be able to access a variety of training courses provided by Early Years, Childcare and Extended Services.
Typical courses include Makaton, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Managing Children's Behaviour, Promoting Equal Opportunities, Policies and Records, Operational Plan, Risk Assessment, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Early Years Foundation Stage and Child Development.
You may also be interested in obtaining a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) which assesses your performance and competence in the workplace. With the support of an assessor, you would work at your own pace but should expect to take between 18 months and 2 years to get an NVQ level 3 qualification.
