Help us reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in your area

  1. Help us reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in your area (You are here)
  2. What is restorative justice
  3. Make a community justice enquiry

Community Justice Panels deal with low-level crime and antisocial behaviour issues in the community. They are a safe environment where victims and wrongdoers can talk about the harm done. This lets the parties agree a constructive solution and move on.

Volunteers work with victims and wrongdoers to discuss and resolve the harm done. All volunteers are fully trained. You will also receive guidance and support from the Community Justice Panel Coordinator.

We are looking for volunteers to join the scheme. If you live in Rotherham and are age 19 or older we'd love to hear from you. Your time commitment will vary on a case-by-case basis, but is likely to be about five hours for most cases.

You'll receive free training and learn lots of skills you can use in other areas of your life. You'll also have the satisfaction of making a real difference in your community.
