What is restorative justice

Restorative justice is about harmed persons and wrongdoers communicating in a safe, controlled environment. It lets you talk about the harm done and find a way to repair that harm.

Restorative justice lets a harmed person explain the real impact of a crime to the wrongdoer. It empowers the harmed person by giving them a voice.

It also holds wrongdoers to account for what they have done. It helps them to take responsibility and make amends.
