Burial procedure

Burial authorities have common procedures which are followed in order that arrangements of a funeral can proceed without undue delay.

The procedure is described on page 7 of the Charter for the Bereaved and provides a sequence which a funeral director or anybody who is organising a funeral without a funeral director would routinely follow.
