Voting by post or proxy

You arrange a postal vote or to appoint someone to vote on your behalf as a proxy, you will need to complete an application form separately to registering to vote.

If you are registering to vote, you can request that an application form is sent out to you when you complete the form, or as part of your online or telephone registration. Requests to vote by post or proxy cannot be completed online or over the telephone as your date of birth and signature are required as part of the application.

If you are already registered to vote, but want to vote by post or by proxy, you must complete an application form to arrange this.

Please note that deadlines for applications to vote by post or appoint a proxy apply in the lead up to an election.
