Social Care

A social care assessment is when a Social Worker or Social Services Officer talks to you about the support and services you may need to enable you to complete tasks of daily living and maintain your independence.

Safeguarding

The Council is committed to safeguarding and protecting all adults living in the borough by removing all forms of financial, emotional, physical or sexual abuse.

Occupational Therapy

The Community Occupational Therapy Team helps anyone who is disabled and is having problems with maintaining their independence in their own home.


Assistive technology

Assistive technology supports people to maintain their independence in their own home.

Carers

Carers support services are available to all Carers, ex Carers and professionals working with Carers in Rotherham

Direct payments

A Direct Payment is where the Council pays the customer directly for the care they have been assessed as needing. They then have the responsibility to organise and manage these services
