Rotherham housing growth forums
The Council helps the RSL panel forum and the Developer forum to engage with local development partners. It aims to identify new opportunities and discuss key issues affecting the housing sector. It also explores new models and ways to increase housing supply in Rotherham and the wider region.
The Council works in partnership with six preferred Housing Associations. This brings forward new affordable homes across the borough. The six partners are:
- Great Places Group
- The Guinness Partnership
- Arches Housing
- South Yorkshire Housing Association
- Chevin Housing Association
- Johnnie Johnson Housing Association
Housing associations have delivered the majority of affordable homes in the last decade.
The Council works in partnership with private sector developers. to create housing opportunities on public and private sector land.
The Developer Forum brings together key stakeholders to generate interest in future opportunities. It also explores new development models and improved working arrangements to increase housing supply.
