The Families Information Service (FIS) offer a free, impartial and friendly advice and information to parents and carers of all ages in Rotherham about:

- Learning opportunities
- Services and activities for families with children with a disability
- Health services
Finding the services and care that your child needs can be a daunting task. Whatever your query about services or activities for children, young people and families contact us and we will try to help or signpost you to someone that can.
Did you know that all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to free early education sessions?
On the Families Information Service website you can get online information about different types of childcare including:
- Childminders
- Day nurseries
- Out of school clubs
- Holiday childcare
- Pre-School playgroups
Not all childcare providers allow their details to be displayed on the internet. Please contact us and we can carry out a personalised childcare search and send you a list that suits your needs, including childcare:
- that drops off at and collects from the school your children attend within a specified mile radius of your home, work or other address
- that has experience of working with children with additional needs
- that provides free early education places for 3 & 4 year olds located in a specific village
- that is open early mornings, evenings, overnight or weekends
