Countryside Traffic Management
Rural areas are facing a number of transport problems. These include:
- Infrequent public transport services
- Increasing traffic growth and congestion
- Excessive speeds on many country roads
- Road safety dangers
The Council has developed a Countryside Traffic Management Strategy to address these issues. The strategy was put together by a working group consisting of representatives from Rotherham, Sheffield and Doncaster Councils, South Yorkshire Police, The Countryside Agency and the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
