Get help if a child is being bullied

If a child is being bullied at school, you should first contact the school to raise your concerns and agree what action should be taken.

If your concerns about bullying have been raised with the school but there has been no significant improvement in the situation, you should:

  • Contact the school to check that the agreed procedures are being followed
  • Make an appointment to see the head teacher to discuss the problem
  • If the problem is still not resolved, you may wish to make a formal complaint to the school
