The decision process for Council contracts

  1. Price and costs
  2. Scoring
  3. Interviews and presentations
  4. Reporting (You are here)
  5. Feedback

The decision to award a contract to a particular company does not rest only with the officers involved in the tender evaluation - their Chief Officer must also confirm the decision.

For high value or especially significant contracts, the decision will also include Elected Members.

At any stage the tender process is open to scrutiny by the Council's Internal Audit Section.
