Take advantage of Rotherham's 400kms of public rights of way by enjoing a walk through the picturesque countryside.

There are lots of short walks around a number of areas throughout the borough. Alternatively take in the local culture as you past many historic buildings and places of interest on one of our heritage trails.

Why not try one of the several designated walks around your area. These walks make the most of public footpaths through the picturesque countryside.

With the NHS, we would like tackle obesity and other preventable illnesses by encouraging people to increase their daily activity by walking and cycling more. Visit your local library to borrow a "Steps to Health" pack containing a local walk map, a pedometer and a daily record sheet.
