South Yorkshire and areas within Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire are all a part of the Sheffield City Region.

If you live in an area such as Rotherham and you travel within the Sheffield City Region for work, shopping or leisure, then you are one of the many users of this City Region's transport system.

Sheffield City Region is developing its long term transport strategy. The consultation period has ended. The revised transport strategy will be approved by the City Region's Districts before being published in April 2011.
