Rotherham Borough map data - Trouble-shooting

If you are having problems with our maps, see the advice appropriate to your browser.

Internet Explorer up to version 6

Our maps use the latest version of Google Maps software and this doesn't work with IE6 and earlier versions. Like many organisations, we have decided to cease developing software to work with IE6. Please upgrade your browser.

Internet Explorer versions 7, 8 and 9

Our mapping application should work with your browser, with or without compatibility mode set.

If not, ensure that Javascript is enabled. To do this, go to "Internet options", then the "Security" tab, choose the "Custom level" button", scroll down the list and find "Scripting". Set "Active scripting" to "enable" or to "prompt".

Ensure you have the latest updates for your browser. Go to the Control Panel and run Windows update. This may take a while.

Google Chrome

Our mapping system should work with your browser.

Ensure that you have Javascript enabled. Choose the "Customise and control Google Chrome" option. Choose the "Under the hood" option. Look for the "Javascript" heading and select the "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" option.

Ensurethat  you have the latest updates. To check, choose the "Customise and control Google Chrome" option. Choose the "About Google Chrome" option. At the bottom of the "About" dialog box you should see a green tick and the words "Google Chrome is up to date."

Safari

Our mapping system has been tested with Safari version 5.0.3. If you experience a problem, please ensure you have the latest update.

Firefox

Our mapping system has been tested with Firefox version 5.0.1. If you experience a problem, please ensure you have the latest update.
