Cycle training for schools

Free cycle training is available to primary (years 5 and 6) and secondary school pupils who go to a school in Rotherham.

We are working with schools that have put together a school travel plan which includes cycling as a means of travelling to and from school each day.

All pupils will be instructed on how to ride their bikes to the government's new national standard for cycle training.

This standard is called 'Bikeability' and has been designed to give the next generation of cyclists the skills and confidence required to ride their bikes on today's roads.

All pupils will receive quality cycle training by fully qualified and accredited instructors in accordance with Bikeability.

The training in schools is provided through our contracted cycle training providers Cycle Experience.
