Off Road Motorcycles

Tackling the illegal and anti-social use of off road motorcycles where they should not be used is a key priority of the Council and the Safer Rotherham Partnership.

The Community Protection Unit in the Council along with the Police operate jointly funded enforecement stings throughout the year to take bikes off the streets where they pose a risk to the public. In addition those who use bikes irresponsibly can be issued with Anti-Social Behaviour orders and prison, on top of the initial confiscation of the bike.

We also work with our partners in other council services and advise private land owners on how they can best secure their land boundaries to prevent access by motorcycles.

If you experience problems with off road bikes please report incident to the Police on 0114 2202020.
