Town Hall
For general enquiries in person about Council services, please go to one of our Customer Service Centres.
The Town Hall is open to the public if you are attending a meeting, an event or if you have an appointment to see a particular councillor or officer. Reception is open from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday, but it may be open at other times subject to demand and the meeting schedule.
Following a programme of refurbishment, the Town Hall has a number of meeting rooms of varying sizes which are available for hire to the public and to organisations. In addition there is a function room which is available to hire for weddings, parties, training events, conferences and seminars. Access for wheelchair users
The building has ramped access to the ground floor reception and a lift to other floors so it is accessible for wheelchair users.
How to find it
Nearby on-street parking is available and there are several off-street car parks nearby. The multi-storey car parks at Westgate and over the bus station provide a large number of spaces.
