Easy Walks

Walking is a great way to improve your health. It doesn't cost anything and just about anyone can do it. Walking 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week can bring substantial health benefits. An ideal way to achieve this is to take a walk in your local park or green space.

Steps to Health Walks

There are 3 sessions a week at Herringthorpe Sports Village. The programme includes easy 1 mile or 1.3 mile level walks. We also have details of a 15 walks throughout the borough.

The St Leger Walk, Letwell

A walk around the historic woodlands and fields of Letwell. This walk is suitable for people with limited mobility or for for parents with push chairs. The walk is not specifically intended for wheelchair users.

The route does not contain stiles, heavy field gates or travel up or down steep gradients although path surfaces may often be a natural earth surface which may become muddy after rain.

You should be able to make an informed decision about whether the walk is suitable for you from the information contained in the guide.
