Joining the library
Membership is free and open to all.
To join, you simply come along to any of our libraries and bring some ID with you or complete and send the online joining form, remember to bring along some ID when collecting your ticket.
If you cannot bring in any proof of ID on your first visit, you will be joined as a 'guest' which entitles you to immediately take out two books or spoken word sets.
To receive the benefits of full membership you will need to show proof of your name and address, e.g. a driving licence, gas bill, pension book etc.
A membership ticket will be given to you which allows you to borrow items straight away.
If you are aged 16 or under, you will need to ask a parent or guardian to sign your membership ticket.
What can the library offer me?
Monthly Prize Draw
All new members are entered into a monthly prize draw, where the lucky winner will be able to select a book from a list of monthly best sellers.

Recommend a Friend Promotion
Once you've discovered the joys of the library why not spread the word?
Do you have a friend or family member who isn't a library member or who still has one of our old style tickets? Introduce your friends and family to the library service and you will both receive a voucher for a free DVD loan!
If you manage to recommend the library service to five people you will receive a pass entitling you to a month's free DVD/CD.
