The Bandstand

The Bandstand has seen thousands of performances over the years. Its pillars and dome are a symbol of the park and of Rotherham. The pillars are beginning to crumble (never underestimate the power of a brass band!). The roof will be lifted off the bandstand and the pillars repaired or replaced. It is not only the structure we are restoring but the performances as well.

How will it look when its done? The Bandstand will be fully restored to its former glory to showcase some of the best local talent.  The removal of some of the weaker trees around the Bandstand will open up the area for all to enjoy the performances in the future.
