Rother Valley South's Young People's Group

On the 31st January the above group visited the Lifewise Centre on the Hellaby Industrial Estate.  The visit was offered to group by Police and Young Peoples Officer (PYPO) Paul Hamshaw as a useful resource to engage with young people.

The visitors included Elected Members, Rother Valley South Area Assembly team, Youth Workers, Young people's representatives and Parish Councillors.  All were given a tour of the street which has been built within an industrial unit.  South Yorkshire Fire and the Police already use the unit as a way of engaging with young people around Health and Safety issues around the home and within their neighbourhood.

The street comes complete with working traffic lights, a fully equipped house (including hazardous equipment), burnt out bedroom, fully equipped park area, a Co-op, Hospital, Fire and Police station and a Magistrates Court.
