How we monitor home care services

  1. How we monitor home care services (You are here)
  2. The Home Matters assessment

If you have had a care assessment and receive community or home care care services from the Council, these will be provided by one of our care service partners. This could be help with tasks such as:

  • Personal care
  • Help to access the community
  • Certain household tasks
  • Prompting with medication

We continuously monitor all organisations who provide care services on our behalf. We do this to make sure that they provide a quality service to you.

In addition to this all our care service partners take part in an annual assessment called ‘Home Matters’. This assessment rates each partner and means you can make informed decisions when choosing community or home care services.

All home care providers are also registered with the Care Quality Commission, the national regulator for care services. Each partner is inspected by the Commission, who publish a report on their findings.
