Due to new laws and guidance from the Government, we will need to make some changes over the next few years, which may change the way that Learning Disability and Autism services are run.
Each of these documents say that services need to be more personal to meet the needs of people and families.
There are about 789 people who have a Learning Disability and/or Autism living in Rotherham. We want to make sure that all adults living in Rotherham:
- Lead healthy, successful and independent lives
- Have their voice heard
- Have access to the best possible services that work for them
- Are supported well in all areas of Rotherham
We face a number of challenges in doing this. The number of people needing support is going up, savings have to be made every year and services need to be more personalised.
To help us support people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, we would like to hear your views on the way we run our services.
In addition to completing the consultation questionnaire online you can also have your say by attending one of our events.
