Rotherham Youth Enterprise

Rotherham Youth Enterprise provides self-employment support and advice for young adults in the area. We encourage young people to explore business ideas and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be your own boss.

The project started from an office in Wath where young people received information and advice on running their own business. Over the last 16 years it has become so successful that Rotherham Youth Enterprise now offers office and workshop provision at five sites to young people aged 16 to 30 years in their first year of trading.

During the five years to September 2008, Rotherham Youth Enterprise worked with 178 young people who started their own business in the area and 77 of those businesses have been based in one of our office/workshop units.

The units available to young people vary in size and are suitable for activities such as crafts, joinery, catering, photography and printing as well as office-based ventures such as IT support, graphic/web design and marketing services.
