Loan Services
Our loan services have been designed with you in mind. Teachers have access to a vast collection of books covering a broad subject range, whilst schools receive a fiction book collection with titles suitable for all ages and abilities.
Topic Loan
Every teacher working at a subscribing school is entitled to borrow resources from the SLS. Your allowance is:
- 20 non-fiction books on their chosen topic
- 3 literacy topic boxes
- 3 guided reading sets

Reading sets list by genre
Reading sets list by year group and term - 3 big books
- 1 Display box
- 1 story sack
- 3 posters
We also have a range of pre-packed topic boxes that contain books and artefacts.
To obtain any resources, you can make an appointment to visit the SLS showroom to choose your own, use the online form or contact us with details of your topic and have it delivered to your school.
Rapid Scheme
Aimed at reluctant readers, we have a large selection of books from the Pearson Rapid Scheme available for loan.
Display Boxes
To support whole school topic themes, we have a limited stock of display boxes available for your use. Each box contains various artefacts to compliment the chosen topic and will visually enhance any display.
Due to the restricted number of these boxes, they are limited to one per school.
Fiction Book Collection
An extensive collection of fiction titles to supplement your schools existing library stock. The collection is delivered to school, and can be exchanged for a fresh selection once or twice per school year as you require.
