History

Wath Park consists of three previously individual sites: Wath Sports, Wath Baths Fields and Wath Pump House Field. Covering almost 11 hectares it is situated off Moor Road, a few minutes walk from Wath town centre.

The park has provided facilities for many sports since 1898. It is home to several sports clubs including Wath Cricket Club, Wath Rugby Club, Kings Bowling Club and local football teams. With valuable support from the cricket club, there is also a modern pavilion that provides a range of high standard facilities.

The southern side of the park has a pleasant setting with avenues of trees and shrub planting. This leads to a very popular skate park and children's play area.

Friends of Wath Parks

The Friends of Wath Parks has recently formed as a group and are working with the council to develop the park and its recreational facilities. They are local volunteers who dedicate their own time helping with development, day to day management of the park and with the delivery of events and activities. If you're interested in joining this group then please contact us.
