Alternate Week Collections
We provide collections on a two weekly cycle to most of the borough. The first week of the cycle is called WK1 and the second week is WK2.
We provide up to 4 collections per cycle: general refuse, paper (blue-bag), blue-box and green waste. Generally refuse will be collected in one of the weeks and recyclables in the other week.
On a few streets, we may not provide paper or blue-box or green waste collections due to local reasons.
There are 3 types of schedules:
- Refuse in WK1 and recylables in WK2
- Refuse in WK2 and recylables in WK1
- Refuse every week and some recyclables in either WK1 or WK2
