Dead animals on the highway

We provide a free same day service for the removal and disposal of dead animals from the public highway.

Domestic pets are kept for 7 days to give bereaved owners the opportunity to collect their pet. Unclaimed animals are collected by the Pets Crematorium.

Dead animals from domestic properties

We do not remove these, but you can bury smaller animals in your garden but will need to consult your vet to check whether burial is a health risk, particularly if your pet died from disease. If your home is rented or leased, you will need to ask your landlord for consent.
