Sustrans Connect2 Project
What does this mean to you?
Connect2 is a UK-Wide project that will see hundreds of miles of walking and cycling routes created around the UK.
The project will provide extra bridges and extra links - improving travel and reducing our carbon footprint.
The Killamarsh, Halfway Tram Terminus, Rother Valley Country Park and Chesterfield Canal Link project is one of 79 schemes that was successful in its bid.

Please bear in mind that these represent the major ambitions fo the scheme, and that there are around 75 schemes proposed in all. These range from more doorstep walks to counting users to linking businesses to making access safe for everyone.
We will do what we can with funding but as always with countryside access, a long consultation process is involved which can always hit snags which occasionally become insurmountable.
