Housing benefit - information for private landlords

If your tenant has signed the 'landlord disclosure' form, entitled ''About sharing information with your landlord'' which is part of the claim form, we will be able to tell you:

• whether your tenant has claimed housing benefit and whether a decision has been made
• if we need more information to decide the claim, what that information is

We will not be able to give you:

• any personal or household details
• your tenant's financial circumstances

If you employ an agent, we can only discuss the claim with your agent.
