Information Sources

What's happening - where can I find more information?

During a major incident, the Council will operate a telephone helpline and also this website to provide as much information as we can. We will offer advice relating to the emergency.

The helpline number will be announced over local radio stations. Local radio frequencies are:

  • BBC Radio Sheffield 104.1 FM
  • Hallam FM 103.4

Don't forget to check whether your radio has batteries with replacements to hand. Try turning into the station of your choice now. If you have difficulty in tuning your radio - ask a friend.

Your local TV stations will also give information about the incident.
