Arts in Rotherham - Folk Music
Folk music thrives in Rotherham and we are fortunate to have many clubs showcasing new music and talents as well as our musical heritage. The Folk Festival at Rotherham show in September is a wonderful showcase of muscial genius from across the borough and further afield, and is organsied by Judy Dalton of the Anston Folk Club Please scroll down to see some of the folk groups listed in Rotherham in 2011. Hearts of Steel

Yorkshire Regional Folk Networking Day
Saturday 31st March, The Music Room, Cleckheaton, BD19 3RR
Folk21 is organising a Yorkshire Regional Folk Networking Day And Evening Showcase Concert. Afternoon Networking, from 2 pm will discuss:
- Raising folk's profile regionally
- What makes a club a club?
- Share your good ideas with the panel
- Working with artists and agents
This will be followed by an Evening Concert 7.30pm. Tickets are free for organisers and club committee members but please book in advance.

Anston Folk Club
- Details: An excellent acoustic venue.for people to come together to sing songs. The evenings are usually themed and singers are challenged to sing songs to fit the theme or from their own repertoire. Occasional guests.

The Rock @ Maltby
- Details: Live music venue, featuring folk and acoustic artists.

Nellie Folk
- Details: Singaround in friendly group

- Details: This features local musicians and singers.
