Rotherham has a number of wonderful festivals that have brought some very special acts and performances to the borough. With music and events to suit every audience, and performers, both home grown and from the international stage - but top quality every one! Rotherham Open Arts Festival - In the Market for a new direction

  • Details: The Rotherham Open Arts Festival is traditionally held in the Autumn and is directed by Claire Saddington, Steve Rogers and Taiba Yasseen. This year plans include a lengthy residence in the Old Market building. An explosion of music, performance, art and poetry and installations by up and coming artists will transform the space for all the Rotherham community to enjoy, and provide open arts workshops.

Rotherham Arts Jazz and Folk Festivals at Rotherham Show.

  • Details:The exciting folk festival, programmed by Judy Dalton at the Rotherham Show will be on the weekend of 10th and 11th September 2011.

The Cultural Diversity Festival

  • Details: The Diversity Festival Group is working hard this year to raise the funds from Arts Council England and local sponsors to create a really exciting show with two days of music and dance, arts workshops and community stalls at the Rotherham Show in September.

Kiveton Park Brass Band Festival

  • Details: This year's festival is planned for Sunday 10th July 2011. It is to be hosted by the Forestry Commission and organised by the Yorkshire and Humberside Brass Band Association.

The Wath Folk and World Music Festival

  • Details: Held on the first Bank Holiday in May, Wath Festival 2010 certainly lived up to its name of being South Yorkshire 's biggest festival of music and dance. The festival hosts community events around the town, as well as workshops and music concerts featuring some of the biggest names on the folk and acoustic music scene today. Wath Morris Team lead the way!
