Rotherham has many dance schools, classes and groups across the borough, in a range of dance styles from physical theatre to tap and more traditional dance styles, for all ages and abililties.

Dance News
New: Regional Database for dancers
South Yorkshire Dance Hub iscreating a database of South Yorkshire Dance practitioners available to hire for workshops. The database will be housed on the Youth Dance England website. To get your details on the database, please email rhiannon.lister-coburn@rotherham.gov.uk and ask for a dance practitioner form.
Rotherham Dance Network
The recent meeting of local dancers and dance groups and agencies was very successful and people reported it was very useful. Youth Dance Festival
Your group can apply to perform at Youth Dance England's national U.Dance event in London; a three day extravaganza at The Southbank Centre from 12 - 15 July 2012. Further details can be found at U.Dance

Gillian Banks Theatre School

The Park Activity Club for Kids (PACK)
- Details: Dance classes incorporate many different styles from lyrical to jazz to street, creating routines that are fun to dance and help build balance, flexibility and skill. Performing Arts classes include music and movement, singing, drama games and activities and more to build team work and confidence.

Parent and Toddler Dance Classes and Infant Dance Classes at Rotherham Arts Centre
Due to the future relocation of Cultural Services to the new Riverside building, the Arts Centre is no longer able to host these classes. For activities for this age group led by the dance leader Sam Tennick, please see her listing under 'Sam's Dance'.

Rotherham Youth Dance Network
- Details: Rotherham Youth Dance Network The RYDN consists of groups across the borough, offering weekly dance sessions to 7-11 and 12-16 year olds. Around 200+ young dancers, age 7-16 from all over Rotherham, are involved in the Network, learning Contemporary, Creative and Street Dance techniques, and groups erform at an annual Showcase at the Civic Theatre.

Sam's Dance
- Details Groovy Movers: For ages 1 - 4. Thursdays, 3.30pm - 4.30pm. A fun, friendly and imaginative way to encourage your child to move to music and develop confidence.
- Details Street dance / Contemporary Fusion: For ages 4 - 9 . Thursdays, 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Learn how to put steps together to create funky dance routines.
