Waterloo Kiln and Pottery Ponds

One of the surviving features of the famous Swinton (later Rockingham) Pottery, which was established on this site in 1745 and remained in production until 1842. The pottery had a national reputation for quality earthenwares and later porcelain and examples of its products are on display at  Clifton Park Museum.

Savour the atmosphere of the secluded Swinton Pottery site. Here you can visit the surviving Waterloo Kiln (1815) and the Pottery Ponds where fragments of Rockingham are lingering.

Access and the car park is from the B6092 Blackamoor Road, Swinton, Rotherham.
