Rotherham set to rock 'n' roll!

The smash-hit show Forever in Blue Jeans is coming to Rotherham’s Civic Theatre for a fun-filled evening of entertainment featuring countless hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s right through to the best of today.
The show spans Rock 'n' Roll favourites from Jerry Lee Lewis & Brenda Lee to The Beatles & The Monkees.
It also celebrates 50 years of The Magic of Motown which takes in hits from The Four Tops, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross and a host of other Motown favourites.
The Carpenters, Showaddywaddy and Abba bring us into the 70s and we take a trip into the Silver Screen to visit Oklahoma and those Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
There is also a tribute to the song writing talents of the legendary Burt Bacharach which includes his many number one hits - I'll Never Fall in Love Again, What the World Needs Now (Is Love Sweet Love), Do You Know the Way to San Jose? and the memorable What's New Pussycat? among them.
The company is led by TV and radio recording artistes Carole Gordon and Bob Newman who have toured with Tammy Wynette & Boxcar Willie and have been voted Top British Duo by the British Country Music Association for three consecutive years.
They have enjoyed success in the USA with an invitation to represent Great Britain in Nashville, Tennessee. Two of their four albums have received Top British Recording awards from the press.
The show also features three vocalists and dancers, including Rachel Dean. A real favourite with the Blue Jeans audience, Rachel has starred in the children's hit West End musical Casper
Accompanying her will be Dominic Banks who has appeared in a variety of productions ranging from Evita to High School Musical and Paul Leno who has cruised the world and performed in productions of Grease, Saturday Night Fever and Mary Poppins.
The Red Hot Blue Jeans Band perform instrumentals throughout the show with Musical Director Chris Burgess on drums and percussion, Derek Thurlby on steel, lead guitar & vocals, Paul Bebington on keyboards, fiddle & vocals and Bob Newman on bass and vocals.
