Rotherham Learning Ambassadors - the search is on

Do you know anyone who possesses the qualities of which they and Rotherham’s people should be justifiably proud?
Rotherham's Learning Theme Board, which forms part of the borough's Local Strategic Partnership, are searching for Rotherham's next ambassadors and they need your help to find them!
The Board are looking for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to championing learning in Rotherham or who overcome barriers to achieve in learning.
Nominations can be made in the following categories:
- Family Learning - Any age
- Adult Learning age 19+
- Children & young people up to 19 years of age
- Employees in the work place
Sue Ransom, Chair of the Learning Theme Board and Principal of Dearne Valley College said "this is the perfect opportunity to recognise all the individuals who see learning as an important part of theirs and others lives and recognise that is a way of improving Rotherham's future".

All nominees will be invited to attend a celebration event at Magna on Thursday the 24th June 2010 at 6pm, winners will be announced on the evening and will receive the prestigious accolade of "Rotherham Ambassador".
The celebration evening is part of the Rotherham Children and Young People's Festival which involves a whole range of events at Magna from June 21 to July 9.
