Model Village Neighbourhood Agreement
Published Monday 11th October 10
Residents of a Rotherham town have pledged to improve their local community.
At 6 pm on Tuesday (October 12) at the Ascension Centre, residents of Maltby's Model Village will be officially launching their new Neighbourhood Agreement, which is geared to making the Model Village a better place to live.
On the one hand the agreement lets residents know what services they can expect and on the other hand also asks that local residents agree to their own responsibilities, which together will improve their local environment.
To help launch the agreement the Maltby Model Village Community Association is hosting a free pie and pea night at the Ascension Centre, to which all local residents and service providers who have been involved in the impact survey, have been invited.
Local service providers have worked very closely with community members to provide one shared document and a pledge to the area. This has been produced in the form of a calendar and all residents of the Model Village will receive one.
