Frightful Fun at Thrybergh Country Park

Published Monday 25th October 10

With Halloween looming like a full moon, it’s time to dust down your broomsticks, polish your fangs and get ready to spook and be spooked at one of Rotherham’s scariest events of the year.

Little spectres and spirits are being invited to face the spine-chilling frights of the infamous "Haunted Park" night at Rotherham's Thrybergh Country Park on Sunday October 31.

There will be three ghoulishly-guided walks, all of which have to be pre-booked, the first at 5.30pm, second at 6.15pm and the blood-curdling final at 7pm. Be quick though, places fill up fast.

This year, un-dead pirates from the underworld will be roaming the park and causing havoc.

Can you help the courageous captain to get his daughter back from the infamous Pink Beard and banish him and his crew back to whence they came?

Are you brave enough to take a walk in the dark on this scary, scary night?

There will also be a fancy-dress competition for the best home-made costume and a selection of food and hot drinks in the newly-refurbished café.

The temperature may drop on this horrible haunted Halloween night so bring along some warm clothes and good footwear.

The cost of each session is a terrifyingly tantalising £2.50 for adults and £2 per child.

To make sure you don't miss out on the frights, fun and spooky food, book in advance on 01709 850353.
