Householders in Rotherham are being reminded that the borough's refuse collection continues to be disrupted by the bad weather conditions.

Due to the weather, the Council has been unable to follow the Christmas and New Year collection schedule exactly but will, wherever possible,  be trying to maintain collections in accordance with it.

Any missed refuse collections from this week (the week beginning Monday, January 4)  will be collected next week (the week beginning Monday, January 11) as per normal collection days for black bins.

However, green bins should NOT be put out for collection over this period and any missed blue box/ bags from week beginning January 4 will be collected on the next scheduled collection day.

Trade waste collections may not be made on the normal collection day but the authority is endeavouring to clear the Christmas backlog as soon as possible.

Clinical waste collections were suspended yesterday (Tuesday, January 5) and the  service will be made on the next designated collection day. However, at the moment minimal disruption is being experienced with this service.

Rotherham Borough Council apologises for any inconvenience caused to residents and local businesses during this time.
