Sledging in Summer

There may not be snow outside, but that isn’t going to stop thrill-seeking Rotherham youngsters from enjoying the giddy thrill of sledging.
Rotherham Council's Green Spaces team are set to bring the favourite winter pastime to the pleasant days of summer with a very special "grass sledging" event aimed at kids aged 4 to sixteen.
Taking place in the beautiful surrounds of Bradgate Park in Kimberworth Park on Tuesday July 26 between 1.30pm - 2.30pm, grass sledging offering all the fun of winter sledging, but in the warmth of the summer.
Green Spaces Officer, Donna Morton, said: "Come along and join the Green Spaces Team in this fun grass sledging competition.
"Don't worry if you haven't been grass sledging before, we'll be on hand to show you how. It's amazing fun and no need for a woolly hat and scarf!
"You can bring your own sledge or use one provided."
