It’s Going To Be A Scream!

'It's A Scream' will take place at 7 pm on Monday, October 31, when Far Out Theatre will host a spine-chilling ghost trail around Rotherham town centre.

The terrifying tour will take in nearly 2,000 years of history filled with war, intrigue, famous faces and historic architecture and not surprisingly, the odd supernatural experience.

The spectres and phantoms of Rotherham will be highlighted by the talented theatre group in a voyage of discovery taking in historic, haunting monuments and the eerie secrets of some of Rotherham's most well-known buildings.

This year's ghost walk event is back by popular demand and as the last four ghost walks entirely sold out ghost-hunters are advised to book their places now.

Tickets for the walk are now on sale from the Rotherham Visitor Centre priced at £5 Adults (concessions £3). Booking in advance for this spooktacular event is essential. The walk is suitable for both adults and children making it a great opportunity for all the family to get dressed up and have some fun.

People who attended previous events really enjoyed getting into the ghostly spirit and had great fun dressing up in Halloween costumes.

'It's A Scream' is being supported by local businesses with the local independent shop Whistle Stop Sweet Shop donating a prize for the best dressed fancy dress outfit at the event.

Coun. Gerald Smith, Cabinet Member for Town Centres for Rotherham Borough Council, urged people to get their tickets early. He added: "This is the fourth walk we have held and each time tickets have sold out very quickly. Some people missed out on last year's event, so you will need to book early so as not to be disappointed this time. We are delighted to be teaming up with the local theatre company Far Out Theatre to run this spectacular event."  

Attendees of this year's ghost walk can also experience an extra gruesome tale with a £2 discount on the price of an Adult ticket for the spine chilling 'The Haunted Bride' production at Rotherham Civic Theatre on Thursday, November 3.
