"Blue bag" your old Argos catalogue

With the recent publication of the latest Argos catalogue, householders across Rotherham are being urged to recycle their old copies - which weigh a hefty 2kgs each.

It is estimated that there are over 36 million catalogues in circulation each year - an awful lot of paper! But now old catalogues can be placed in the Council's Blue Bag kerbside paper collection scheme along with other paper products for recycling. 

Alternatively the catalogues and other paper products can be taken to local paper recycling banks or the authority's Household Waste Recycling Centres which are open seven days a week.

The Council is now recycling 44 per cent of the waste it collects and is urging local households to keep up the good work.
