Creative fun for kids

Children will be able to express their creative side this summer holiday thanks to a weekly activity session.
Each Wednesday, Rotherham's twice nominated "Museum of the Year", Clifton Park Museum, will be hosting craft days for kids aged 4 to 10 years.
The Family Fun Days will take be taking place at 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.00pm each week, with theme days focusing on everything form kite creation, hand puppets to sew, miniature mummies, and, to get behind Rotherham United in their new stadium for the forthcoming season, a special football themed day.
Booking in advance is essential by either visiting or calling the museum on 01709 336633. There is a cost of £2.50 per child which is payable at time of booking.
In addition to the Wednesday sessions, there are also activities taking place every Tuesday and Thursday of the summer holidays with the Activity Cart, where there will be opportunity make and take craft activities in the museum galleries.
The Activity Cart session run from 1pm - 3pm, with a charge of £1 per child per activity with no need to book in advance.
Cabinet Member for Tourism and Culture, Councillor Amy Rushforth, said: "Clifton Park Museum really is the jewel in the crown of Rotherham's cultural activities and it's great to see staff making sure the summer holidays are filled with creativity.
"The activities on offer will really fire up the imaginations of all those that take part. Clifton Park Museum is a great place to visit on any day of the week and entry is free too."
