With more than 200 million albums sold worldwide and a back catalogue covering four decades the music of Phil Collins will be 'in the air tonight' in Rotherham later this month.
After four years of successful touring "And Finally...Phil Collins" have established themselves as the best tribute act bringing the former Genesis frontman's solo career to audiences and now they are coming to the Civic Theatre on Sunday September 23.
This eleven piece band is fronted by 'Stars In Your Eyes' grand finalist Pete Bultitude. Pete joined the show in July 2010 and has added a very special dimension to the performance. His uncanny likeness in both sound and looks is remarkable as well as being a phenomenal drummer!
After hearing 'In the Air Tonight' when he was just 12, Pete decided to learn the drums and promptly joined his parent's band, an award winning country music duo. As his father is an accomplished guitarist he couldn't avoid learning to play guitar and also piano along the way.
In 1999 after being encouraged to apply by many people Pete appeared on ITV's 'Stars in their Eyes' as Phil Collins and made it through to the final where he received over 202,000 votes.
He has since appeared on stage at many great venues including Birmingham NEC, London Palladium and The Grosvenor house hotel ballroom in London.
In addition to Pete and the rest of the band, the 'And Finally Horns' section provide the 'icing on the cake' in creating the distinctive Phil Collins sound.
This year the show has recreated the 'Both Sides Tour' of 1994 adding new songs such as I Don't' Care Any More, Missed Again, Every Day, We Wait and We Wonder, Rain Down On Me, and Both Sides Of The Story in addition to performing the classic hits In The Air Tonight, Sussudio and Easy Lover... a full two hours of Phil's' solo career compositions.
Don't miss the opportunity to experience this stunning theatre show at The Civic Theatre, Rotherham, on Sunday September 23 at 7.30pm, tickets £16.50. To book call the Rotherham Theatres Box Office on 01709 823621 or book online
