Award winning stand up comedy comes to Rotherham

Jongleurs - Comedy on the Road, coming to Rotherham Civic Theatre on Friday, February 12, promises to showcase some of the best and brightest comedians from across the UK right here in Rotherham in what is being billed as one of the funniest nights of the year.

Jongleurs launched the "On the Road" tour to bring their unique and hilarious comedy experience to venues across the UK. After two massively successful years, the tour finally lands in the borough in the first of a series of side-splitting shows at Rotherham's grand old dame.

Rotherham Theatres Manager, Mark Scott, said: "We are always trying new things here at the Civic Theatre and stand-up from one of the best comedy companies in the country is the perfect way to show the variety of entertainment we have on offer.

"Jongleurs have promised to bring with them the best young comedians they have on their roster. But, no matter who it is, you're guaranteed a side-splitting night from the best of the best."

Since it started in 1983, Jongleurs has launched the careers of comedic superstars including Jack Dee, Paul Merton, Rory Bremner, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Graham Norton, Jenny Éclair, Dylan Moran, Al Murray and Omid Djalili.

Jongleurs -Comedy on the Road will be taking to the stage of Rotherham Civic Theatre on Friday, February 12, at 8pm. Tickets are priced at £12 (concessions £10).
