Mayor's Valentine Gala

The Mayor of Rotherham’s Valentine Gala takes place next week.
The evening, which includes a three-course meal, an auction and a raffle as well as various types of music with a special 'turn' performed by the 'Blues Brothers', will take place at the Consort Suite, Thurcroft, at 7 pm on Friday February 12.
The event is a fund raiser for the chosen charities of the current Mayor, Cllr Shaukat Ali, which are Safe@Last, the Bluebell Wood Hospice and the Rotherham Parkinson's Society.
It is supported by Rotherham councillors, the local business community, the Safer Partnership Board and representatives from the Mayor's charities as well as local Rotherham residents.

In the past the event has raised at least £2,000 towards the Mayor's Charities and it is hoped that this figure will be topped this year.
