Rotherham’s bonfire celebrations

Rotherham is set to celebrate bonfire night with a handful of officially approved and safety-checked displays around the borough.
Starting the celebration on Thursday November 1 in Brampton Bierlow on the playing fields, the evening of fun, which has been organised by Brampton Bierlow Parish Council, starts at 5.30pm with the opening of the funfair with the firework display to commence at 7.30pm.
Following that on Saturday November 3 on Brinsworth Playing Fields, the display, organised by Brinsworth Parish Council, starts at 6.45pm with the firework display starting at 7pm.
Rotherham's main display will be taking place in Clifton Park on Sunday November 4.
The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, with the children's firework display starting at 6.45pm and the main firework display starting at 7.45pm
Concluding the fun will be the Maltby display, held on Maltby Manor Fields on Monday November 5.
Organised by Maltby Town Council, the fun will start at 5pm, with a "Guy Fawkes" competition kicking off at 5.30pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the firework display will commence shortly after.
Anston Parish Council will also be holding their bonfire and firework display on November 5, at Anston Parish Hall Recreation Grounds
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with the fireworks display at 7.15pm.
Anyone attending the displays are reminded not to take along their own fireworks or sparklers due to safety concerns.
