Easter Fun in Rotherham Town Centre

Published on Friday, 10th March 2017 in Town Centre news

If you are looking for a day filled with fun activities and brilliant entertainment this Easter, then look no further than Rotherham Town Centre.

The event, on Saturday 15 April, will run from 10.30am until 3.30pm with the main attractions situated in All Saints’ Square and the Minster Gardens.

Throughout the day there will be lots of fun activities in the Minster Gardens including egg and spoon races, tug of war, sack races, hula hooping, wellie throwing and more!

All Saints’ Square plays host to a wonderful array of activities and entertainment including face painting, crafts to make and take home and cupcake decorating.

Expect the unexpected, the mad and the downright impossible from the Mad Hatter Magic show, all delivered with crazy humour, tricks and escapades that will have you laughing one moment and not believing your eyes the next. Don't be left with chocolate egg on your face. This is one show you'll not want to miss!

Mr. Dan will be introducing you to Punch, Judy and baby along with other characters including the hungry crocodile, Joey the Clown and cheeky monkey, bringing lots of silly slapstick fun for the whole family!

Plus, look out for ‘Easter Egg-stravaganza’, two chaps with a musical wheelbarrow full of eggs, as they make their way around town bringing hilarity and silliness to this fun-packed event.

Cllr Denise Lelliott, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs and the Local Economy, said: “This promises to be a fun-filled event for all the family – so come along to Rotherham Town Centre and prepare to be entertained!”

There will also be an Easter Bonnet Competition, with entries being judged on the day of the event. For more information about the competition and other events coming up in the town centre, visit the RMBC Events Facebook page
