August bank holiday weekend opening times

The August Bank Holiday weekend is almost here. Visitors can explore Rotherham’s rich history or discover a perfect book at various museums and libraries around the borough.

To help you plan your visit, have a look at the August Bank Holiday opening times.

Museums

Clifton Park Museum and Boston Castle are open as normal. Relive your childhood at the Childhood Memories toy exhibition which is on display in the Childhood Gallery. The café will be open until 4.30pm on Monday 28 August. Meanwhile, visitors are welcome to come along to Boston Castle where they will see stunning images in the photography exhibition entitled ‘Views of Boston Castle and Parklands.’

Libraries and Customer Service Centres

The Libraries and Customer Service Centres are open during Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday, in line with their regular opening times. However, all Libraries and Customer Service Centres will be closed on Monday 28 August and will reopen at their usual times from Tuesday 29 August.

Waste and Recycling

Your black bin, blue box and bag and green bins will be collected as normal on the Bank Holiday Monday, please recycle responsibly.

The Household Waste Recycling Centres and recycling points are also open during the Bank Holiday and the opening times can be viewed online:
